What’s wrong with me?

I’m a sucker for a great commercial, especially the steroid-using big brother of the commercial, the INFOMERCIAL.  You know why I LOVE infomercials and “tv shopping” like QVC?  They clearly show me that I have a PROBLEM. Then the show me that they have MY SOLUTION.

When someone clearly “gets” our problem, we tend to listen to their solution.

In no time, I feel like I need to buy whatever they are selling. They have convinced me I have a problem and that they can fix it. Why wouldn’t I want to solve problems I’m aware of?

Make someone aware of their problem and they’ll want to “buy” your solution.  

The challenge this week is to think about what you are “selling” – whether it be an actual product, an idea, or yourself – and talk to people in a way that resonates with the problems they are having.  How does your product, how does your idea, or how do YOU solve a problem that they have…and they know they have. Focus this week on being the solution people need to the problem they now perceive to have and you’ll see get more of what you want in no time!
