The definition of greed is an extreme or excessive desire for resources, especially for property such as money, real estate, or other symbols of wealth. Giving, on the other hand, is the act of providing. Generosity can kill greed. The best way to guard against greed is to start being generous.

In order to bridge the gap between greed and giving we have to find a way to reconcile the inherent human tendency towards self-interest. As simple as giving to others.  We also have to acknowledge that as humans we are naturally driven by our own desires and needs. However, we should not fail to recognize the importance of being generous and compassionate.

Giving distracts us from our problems and adds meaning to our lives. It also helps us feel valued by others. Bear in mind that, material things can be recovered, but feelings of guilt, helplessness, and loneliness cannot be solved with money. If humans would be more understanding of and generous to others, the world would be a very different place. Give to kill greed
