Hearers are those people who hear something or who are listening to somebody, in short, they are the listeners. Doers, on the other hand, is a person or thing that does something. Specifically, a person who gets things done with vigor and efficiency. With that, it is vital to bridge the gap between the hearers and the doers.

To be a Christian is to be both a hearer and doer of the Word and Commandments of God. It is not just enough to be a hearer of the Word of God but also a doer of the Word of God. This does not only apply to do word of God but also to all aspects of life. With the advent of technology, we can research and hear from coaches or podcast the ways to be able to optimize life. Yet, we fail to take action. We hear it from the other ear and let it pass on to the other one.

To be a doer, we need to prepare our hearts and be open. Remember that there’s no one-approach-fits-all solution. The first thing we need to consider controlling the controllable. These are your past, for example, other people, your genetics, the weather, and the list goes on. Focus on the things that you can control.

Don’t wait for the perfect time to take action because there is no perfect time. Hang out with doers. People who will challenge you. Start now and be a doer. Bridge the gap between being a hearer and a doer.
