On the journey toward your goals, there will be moments of destruction, loss, and disappointment. You may feel like everything you’ve worked for is falling apart. But here’s the truth: your devastation is not your destination.
Rock bottom isn’t the end, it’s often the beginning of your recovery, growth, and transformation.
Rock Bottom Is a Turning Point
When you hit rock bottom, it feels like you can’t go any lower. But many people discover that rock bottom is where they finally find solid ground to rebuild. It’s where perspective shifts, humility grows, and strength develops.
As Nelson Mandela said,
“The greatest glory in living lies not in falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
Falling is inevitable — rising is a choice.
Allow Yourself to Feel and Heal
Don’t ignore or suppress your pain. Feeling devastation doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human.
Acknowledge the pain. Let yourself process what happened.
Practice self-compassion. Be kind to yourself as you rebuild.
Seek help. Sometimes recovery requires support — a therapist, a coach, or a trusted mentor can guide you through.
Healing begins when you stop running from what hurts and start learning from it.
Take Responsibility and Rebuild
Growth happens when you take responsibility for your life — not blame, but ownership. Use the wisdom gained from the things that went wrong to make better choices moving forward.
You can’t control every circumstance, but you can control how you respond. You can choose to rise.
This Week’s Challenge
If you’re in a season of devastation, remind yourself: this is not where your story ends. Take one small action today toward rebuilding. Reach out for help, reset your focus, or recommit to your goals.
Every comeback starts with a decision to rise.
