In life, sometimes all you need is a simple stride. A stride is a step made while running or walking. When you are bored or you are killing time you can count how many strides you make from point A to B. It is like you are taking time to complete the step. 

In achieving your goal, sometimes you need to pause and savor each step. You have to take  intentional step after intentional step. In this way, you can assess and reflect on your actions carefully if it really aligns with your goal. 

Hoda Kotb said life is a series of baby steps along the way and if you add up these tiny little steps you take towards your goal, whatever it is, whether it’s giving up something, a terrible addiction, or trying to work your way through an illness. When you total up those baby steps you’d be amazed over the course of 10 years, the strides you’ve taken. 

Stride over Strive

Society dictates to strive to be successful and to do your best always. There is sort of a race on being successful. You try to keep up and accelerate your progress to be able to achieve success sooner than others. This may get you exhausted and stressed. Yes, you are successful but are you truly happy and connected with yourself.

Why not try striding.  Be in the moment and feel the joy of every step that you take toward obtaining success. Sometimes all you need is a simple stride and be satisfied with what you have accomplished so far. After all, genuine happiness is the ultimate measure of success.
