Staying close to the things that bring you life means staying happy and motivated. Sometimes, life happens and we lost track. This is why it is important to be surrounded by people and things that make you happy. 

We found some ways to be happy as outlined in Healthline. We are created unique, therefore we have different versions of true happiness. Living a more satisfied and happier life is possible. We just need to tweak a few regular habits. Here are some daily habits that are worth cultivating to achieve a happier life.

  • Smile.

Simple and easy. Try starting each morning by smiling at yourself in the mirror. ​​We smile because we’re happy, and smiling causes the brain to release dopamine, which makes us happier.

  • Exercise.

Regular exercise can help reduce stress, feelings of anxiety, and symptoms of depression while boosting self-esteem and happiness. Exercise is not just good for your body but also for your mood and general well-being.

  • Sleep.

Get plenty of sleep. Adequate sleep is vital to good health, brain function, and emotional well-being. Getting enough sleep also reduces your risk of developing certain chronic illnesses

  • Food.

Eat with the mood in mind. You may already know that your food choices have an impact on your overall physical health. Consider starting with making one food choice for your mood each day.

  • Gratitude.

Practice gratitude. Start each day by acknowledging one thing you’re grateful for. It can also give your mood a big boost.  Practicing gratitude can have a significant impact on feelings of hope and happiness.

  • Compliment.

Give compliment. Giving a sincere compliment is a quick, easy way to brighten someone’s day while giving your own happiness a boost.

  • Breathe.

Breathe deeply. Research supports the facts that slow breathing and deep breathing exercises can help reduce stress.

  • Journal.

Keep a journal. A journal is a good way to organize your thoughts, analyze your feelings, and make plans. And you don’t have to be a literary genius or write volumes to benefit.

By slowly practicing these daily habits. You will be one step closer to living a healthier and happier life. It is easy to achieve and practice these habits if you are close to the things that make you happy or motivate you to become happier. Surround yourself with people that matter to you and things that make you happy. Always remember that “You do not find a happy life, you make it.”
