A system is a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method. Finding the system that perfectly fits you is an essential ingredient towards hitting success. Reflect and give yourself time to think about how to do things in a better way.

7 Steps to finding the system that works for you

  • Understand your process.

    Get to know yourself better. Reflect on how you do things currently and write it down. In this way, you are able to understand your process of doing things and create adjustments accordingly.

  • Evaluate your process

    In doing this evaluation, you need to be very honest with yourself. Again, you need to write down your process in order to assess it. 

  • Study what other people do.

Find out how successful people do things. It doesn’t matter who it is as long as you admire the person because of their achievements or way of life. You have to research what it is that they are doing and study how you can emulate it.

  • Anticipate problems

    It’s a critical step in the process of creating systems that lead to success. Always prepare for the worst. Work through scenarios and put systems in place to avoid problems.

  • Account for yourself.

    You have to take into account everything that you do. Every habit that you have should be accounted for because it will be a part of your overall success. 

  • Adjust as needed.

    Remember that practice makes perfect. During your practice, you will encounter problems and troubles, and you need to adjust your plans and system. Adjusting it if necessary will make it a perfect system that works for you.

  • Pick 3 Areas to work on

    You can’t change overnight. Habits do not form overnight either. You have to prioritize three areas that you need to work on and start from there. Start small and be consistent.
