How to build discipline one step at a time? Discipline is defined as an action or inaction that is regulated to be in accordance with a particular system of governance. Self-discipline, on the other hand, is acting rationally rather than following your feelings at any given time. Additionally, it cannot be done easily, and abruptly it would take one step at a time to attain the discipline that you need in order to achieve your goals.

How to attain self-discipline?

Discipline is a process and it entails decisions and sacrifices. Here are some considerations to be able to attain self-discipline. 


You have to have self-awareness in order for you to define your goals. These goals align with your values and what is important to you. It is like your mission statement for yourself. You have to know your character and what you are capable of. This is you and what it is that you truly want, care and are passionate about.

Conscious awareness

Conscious awareness is described as the mental state of being truly aware of the events and situations of your life. It is able to distinguish if you are being disciplined or not. If you are doing activities that are not in tune with your goals, like being lazy. This being intentional in every undertaking that you are going to do,


Commitment is an agreement or pledge to do something. It is your agreement with yourself to truly stick to the activities that are in tune with your goals.  This is hard to examine keep up though and make yourself accountable. 

Being committed to being disciplined is your initial step to be really disciplined. You have to keep doing it one step at a time.
